1. About Legistro

Legistro ("we", "us", "our") is an online directory and profile management platform for advocates enrolled with Bar Councils across India. We connect individuals seeking legal assistance with verified advocates. Legistro is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services of any kind.

2. Eligibility

• Advocate accounts: You must be a practicing advocate enrolled with a State Bar Council in India.
• Visitor accounts: Anyone above 18 years of age may browse the directory and submit inquiries.
• By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and current.

3. Advocate Profiles

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your profile information, including enrollment number, bar council, practice areas, and qualifications.
• Legistro reserves the right to verify, suspend, or remove profiles that contain false, misleading, or prohibited content.
• Unclaimed profiles may be created from publicly available bar roll data. Advocates may claim their profile via the claim flow on the platform.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

• Legistro offers Free and Premium subscription tiers. Premium features are described on the Pricing page.
• All payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) via Razorpay. By making a payment you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service.
• Subscription fees are charged in advance for the selected billing period (monthly or annual).
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will not be affected during their current billing cycle.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Please refer to our Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details. In summary:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard.
• Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if no premium features have been actively used.
• Annual plan refunds are pro-rated after the 7-day window.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another advocate or provide false enrollment credentials.
• Use the platform to solicit clients in violation of Bar Council of India rules on advertising.
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce directory data in bulk without written permission.
• Submit false, fraudulent, or defamatory inquiries or reviews.
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or interfere with the platform's infrastructure.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and data on Legistro (excluding user-submitted content) is owned by or licensed to us. Advocate profiles and user-submitted content remain the property of the respective advocates and users, subject to a licence granted to us to display and index it on the platform.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Legistro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that advocate profiles are current, accurate, or that any advocate is suitable for your specific legal matter. Always independently verify an advocate's credentials before engaging their services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Legistro's liability for any claim arising out of use of the platform is limited to the amount paid by you to us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Telangana, India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be notified by email.
